Credor

For more than five decades, Credor has represented a pinnacle in Japanese luxury watchmaking, quietly cultivating a reputation for uncompromising craftsmanship, refined aesthetics, and technical excellence. Established in 1974, Credor remained exclusive to the Japanese domestic market until its global debut in April 2026.

At the September 2026 lecture of the Horological Society of New York (HSNY), Joseph Kirk, Vice President of Marketing and Brand Curator at Grand Seiko Corporation of America, and special guest Miho Wada, Senior Manager and Design Director at Credor’s Product Design Department, will share the history and heritage of the brand, tracing its evolution from a niche expression of Japanese artistry to one of the world's distinctive names in haute horlogerie.

Attendees will discover the design philosophy that defines Credor, examine the exceptional mechanical and Spring Drive movements that power its timepieces, and gain insight into the artisans whose mastery brings the brand's celebrated dials to life. From intricate hand-engraving and lacquerwork to porcelain and other traditional decorative arts, the lecture will highlight how Credor blends centuries-old Japanese craftsmanship with cutting-edge watchmaking, creating timepieces that transcend function to become true works of art.

*Doors open at 5:30 PM ET, lecture to begin at 6 PM ET. RSVP is required.

** The lecture video will be available to members immediately, and to the general public following a two-month delay.
