HSNY Announces Auction Lots for 160th Anniversary Gala, Presented by Sotheby’s & After-Party Presented by The Armoury

The Horological Society of New York (HSNY) announces auction lots for its 160th Anniversary Gala, to be held on Saturday, March 21, 2026, at The Plaza Hotel in New York City. The live charity auction, presented by Sotheby’s, will take place between courses during the black-tie celebration and will feature a variety of exceptional lots spanning rare timepieces, bespoke experiences, and one-of-a-kind horological objects. Proceeds will directly benefit HSNY’s financial aid programs, educational classes, library initiatives, and more.

While the Gala dinner is officially sold out, HSNY is proud to announce an after-party to celebrate horology’s biggest night of the year. A limited number of tickets remain for the after-party at The Plaza Hotel, which is presented by The Armoury. The after-party will feature a headline set from DJ Rich Medina, dancing, and an open bar, offering a rare opportunity to mingle with Gala co-chairs, industry leaders, and fellow lovers of timekeeping.

After-party tickets can be purchased here.

The 2026 Gala builds on the momentum of a landmark year for HSNY. At the 2025 Gala, the Society raised a record-breaking $160,000 in financial aid, awarded to 28 students and four watchmaking schools across the United States, and surpassed $300,000 raised in total toward its ongoing mission to advance the art and science of horology.

Among the evening’s most memorable moments was an intense bidding war for HSNY’s prestigious Lifetime Membership Card — a sterling silver, hand-engraved masterwork — which ultimately sold to “Shark Tank’s” Kevin O’Leary for $25,000. The sale underscored the growing intersection of luxury, craftsmanship, and horological culture that HSNY continues to champion.

“This year’s auction reflects the breadth and spirit of the horological community,” said Nicholas Manousos, HSNY Executive Director. “From a signed masterwork by François-Paul Journe, to a uniquely engraved wristwatch by Romain Gauthier, and a private dinner with one of the world’s great sushi chefs, every lot has been thoughtfully curated to offer something truly unforgettable. We are deeply grateful to our donors for their extraordinary generosity.”
