Scholarships & Financial Aid
The winners of HSNY’s 2022 scholarship and financial aid programs will be announced at the Gala. This includes the Henry B. Fried Scholarship for Watchmaking Students, Benjamin Banneker Scholarship for Black Watchmaking Students, Oscar Waldan Scholarship for Jewish Watchmaking Students, Grace Fryer Scholarship for Female Watchmaking Students and the Howard Robbins Award for Watchmaking Schools.
Howard Fass Lifetime Achievement Award
The Howard Fass Award is given to individuals judged to have shown extraordinary dedication to the ideals which the Society pursues. This award is HSNY’s highest honor, and has only been given twice before. At the 2022 Gala, the Howard Fass Award will be presented to a recipient whose work in horological education will benefit generations to come.
Auction by Phillips in Association with Bacs & Russo
HSNY’s 2022 Charity Auction, hosted by Phillips in Association with Bacs & Russo, will be held online in June. Holding the Charity Auction online rather than only at the Gala (as in years past) will allow for participation from our members and friends around the world. However, one very special item will be auctioned at the Gala — a HSNY Lifetime Membership Card, hand-engraved by Artur Akmaev and engine turned by Joshua Shapiro.
Food, DrinK & Music
Cocktail hour from 6-7pm, with premium open bar, passed hors d'oeuvres and live music. Seated three-course dinner beginning at 7pm. The suggested attire is business formal.
