HSNY Elects New Officers, 2025

NEW YORK — January 16, 2025 — The Horological Society of New York (HSNY) announces the election of new officers for 2025. This leadership transition underscores HSNY's commitment to fostering excellence and innovation in the field of horology. The newly elected officers bring a wealth of expertise and a shared vision for the Society’s mission of advancing the art and science of horology. Their collective efforts will continue to strengthen HSNY's legacy of education, preservation, and community engagement within the horological community. HSNY extends its gratitude to the outgoing officers for their invaluable contributions.

William Buchalter was elected HSNY’s 39th President, succeeding John Teifert (2020-2024). Buchalter works as Managing Principal and Co-Chairman at Capital Growth Buchalter.

Eneuri Acosta was elected HSNY’s Vice President, succeeding John Davis (2020-2024). Acosta previously worked as Chief Brand Officer at HODINKEE, Inc.

Brett Walsdorf was elected HSNY’s Treasurer for a second term. Walsdorf works as a licensed Associate Real Estate Broker at Compass.

In addition, four new Trustees were elected:

David Chang — Partner at Wellington Management, Board Member at Steppingstone, and Trustee at Tufts University.

Amit Puri — President & CEO of Kurtek and PMG. Board member at Inova Foundation, Costello College of Business at George Mason University and Space@VT at Virginia Tech.

Brian Robinson — Partner at Goldman Sachs and Trustee at the Guggenheim Museum.

Ellen Sorensen — President, Americas at ZENITH Watches.

Eight previously serving HSNY Trustees were re-elected:

Mark Armenante — Software Founder and Independent Watch Collector.

Paul Boutros — Deputy Chairman and Head of Watches, Americas for Phillips.

Romain Gauthier — Swiss independent watchmaker.

Aldis Hodge — Founder and CEO of A. Hodge Atelier, Film and TV Producer, and SAG Award-winning actor.

Eric Ku — Founder, Ten Past Ten Timepieces and Los Angeles Watchworks.

Briana Le — American independent watchmaker.

Lenise Logan — President at Kalpa Art Advisory.

Roger Smith — British independent watchmaker.
